Kim Baker

Known as a powerhouse of endurance racing in the C4 era, Kim Baker built a legacy of performance that left an indelible mark on Corvette motorsports. Founder of Bakeracing, he dominated the SCCA Endurance Championship in 1986 and 1987, and his racing success led to Corvette’s temporary ban from competition in 1988. A former Corvette test driver and Goodyear development partner, Baker was instrumental in shaping the high-performance characteristics of the ZR-1, and was part of the world-record-setting ZR-1 team with Tommy Morrison.
